Song description: Several years ago, my dear friend and colleague, Paul Hayes, shared the phrase, “I am God’s man, therefore, I will be a man of God” as a pact he made with his son. It struck me as a profound statement of intentionality. This song was written as a Father’s Day song designed to challenge all men with those words. It has been arranged several different ways and used at men’s events on numerous occasions. It continues to be a strong statement of faith for me on a personal level and challenge to all men who follow Christ.
