Song description: In the late 1990’s we saw the first of a series of worship albums produced called “Passion”. Through the early years of the new millennium the “passion” movement spread among young Christians in the US as a wave of renewal. It was similar in some ways to the “Jesus People” movement of the late 60’s and early 70’s. It inspired many to go deeper in their faith, but it also carried in its wake a wave of “pop” Christianity that wanted to have the paraphernalia of radical Christian faith, like T-shirts and WWJD bracelets and concert experiences, but lacked the integrity of real, life altering faith. This song is a challenge to the “pop” Christian culture.
